Expert Commissions Model Aviation Association

The permanent Technical Commissions (FAKO) of the SMV are of decisive importance for the promotion and support of individual disciplines of model aviation. They consist on the one hand of active sportsmen of their disciplines and on the other hand of members delegated by the regional associations. These FAKOs do a great job and are the real nucleus of model aviation in Switzerland. Together with the department for the promotion of young talents, they form the department of sport.

The FAKOs are the first point of contact for model pilots interested in a sporting challenge, for clubs that would like to strengthen their internal cohesion by organizing a competition, or for individuals who would like to experience the sporting variant of model flying up close, either as a helper or as an official. Also for technical and/or regulatory questions of all kinds, the technical commissions are the right address and they are very happy, just as the clubs, with advice and assistance available.
